By using this site or placing an order with Hansson of Guildford you indicate your acceptance of these terms and conditions.


Silk Fabrics

  1. Being a natural fibre, silks can have irregularities in the weave, slubs and minor variations in shade. These are characteristics of fine silk yarn and should in no way be considered defects.
  2. Silks tend to be susceptible to fading when exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods, we cannot accept liability for any discolouration.

Ordering

  1. When placing an order you should ensure that you are satisfied with the fabric. It is advisable to request samples prior to ordering.
  2. No guarantee can be given for exact colour matches between batches so please ensure you order enough in the first instance to complete the job.
  3. Each item is subject to a minimum order of one metre.
  4. If an item is out of stock we will advise you of the earliest delivery date and re-confirm your order with you.
  5. Each item in your order is examined carefully before despatch.

Payment

  1. Payment must be received in full before despatch of goods.
  2. If you pay by cheque we will wait until the cheque has cleared before despatching your order.

Delivery

  1. Goods are normally shipped within two working days following receipt of the order and providing payment has been received and successfully processed.
  2. It is your responsibility to ensure you have provided us with a deliverable address. We cannot be held accountable should delivery fail due to a fault in the given address.
  3. We are unable to ship to PO Boxes.

Import Duties

  1. Any customs or import duty charges payable are not included by us; these are the sole responsibility of the buyer and we will not pay any fees relating to them.

Property

  1. The title of fabric supplied remains with us until payment has been received in full.
  2. The risk of loss and title of fabric pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.

  2. Photographs of our products are provided for illustrative purposes only.
  3. Cookies are not used track or collect information about visitors to the site.

Distance Selling Regulations Notice


If you are placing an order as a consumer, and not in the course of a business, you have the right to cancel your order in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000:
  1. You must notify us within seven days, starting the day after you receive the goods, if you wish to return them for any reason.
  2. We will then accept return of the goods and refund the purchase price plus your delivery costs within 30 days. However you must bear the cost of returning the goods to us.
  3. No claim will be entertained once the fabric has been used or cut in any way.
If you are ordering fabric in the course of a business, the cancellation rights described above do not apply and our normal returns policy is as follows:
 

Returns Policy

  1. Each order is cut to your specific requirement and may not be returned unless:
    • the order is incorrect or short,
    • the fabric contains some defect that is not a naturally occurring characteristic.
    In which case you must report this in writing within 10 days of receipt. Claims will not be accepted for any reason after this time.
  2. No returns will be made without notice to the management.
  3. No claim will be entertained once the fabric has been used or cut in any way.
